Introducing our new 'kid' - Freya the Feral Purrbaby
We are thrilled with our new 'family member' from our good friend
Grace at Makeitmaines
Freya has the looks of a feral with the heart of a purrbaby. She is
a lovely big robust girl combining true to type coonie looks, size
and a sweet coonie purrsonality.
Her coat is a rich, dark black tortie tabby and she has some
interesting old coonie lines that will be exciting to work with

Just thought I'd share some pics of my two gorgeous little boys with you
- though Thomas Wayne isn't so little anymore!
Thomas is doing very well, he now thinks he owns the place and bosses us
around. I forgot to get his dried food the other week and he had to slum
it with wiskers for a few days and I swear he sulked!
The other amusing thing about him at the moment, if we are watching TV
at night and sitting on separate couches he divides his time between us.
It's very sweet!!
Clark now has to kiss him goodbye if we go out and before he goes to
bed. If Thomas is asleep somewhere and Clark can't see him he calls
'Keee here keee'
As you can see they do pretty much everything together!
Cheers Christine

CCCA NATIONAL CAT SHOW IN
MELBOURNE (over 600 cats on show from all over Australia)
The first weekend in May we
caught the ferry boat to the big Island with 3 5 1/2 month old kittens
'stowed' away in our luggage.
We had a great weekend, they
charmed the favour of some judges and we made some great friends.

Wow - Lucky cats Christmas tree at Jackie's

Well Max has been here just over 3 weeks and I can't imagine the house
without him.
He has adjusted so well - afer the initial settling in he is eating with the
Slinky's and out in the day pen with them.
He is a real live wire - Molly tries to disipline him but he doesn't take
much notice - he certainly doesn't get offended by anything!
Ryan and he get on briliantly - this breed is built for hav ing kids around
- he takes everthing in his stride.
He has been much admired at the vet last week - they have a litter of 5 week
old kittens they have been finding homes for and comparing them to "Max" was
quite funny - he is a big boy and boy does he like his food.
So all goes well and he loves having the other 2 teenager Slinky's to play
with - they really are a very nice combination - Ruby ( the
little Heeler) thinks all cats are great
Take Care, Diana

Ruby has a new friend
16/08/2009: Here are some
new photos of Orion! He's settled in completely and now owns the place!
Well, at least, he thinks he owns the place.
We all know that Georgie is really the boss!
He and Georgie play a lot now and he spends all day in the cat run! He
also plays will Bella (the dog) which is very funny to watch! He loves
to stretch.
Anyways! Hope you like the photos Jess

Hey Cynthia,
It wouldn’t be easy to say goodbye, but in effect you sharing your love
gives all your purchasers a more loving kitten, who enjoys affection and
being with people very much.
We had a big day here today, a baby pigeon flew into our warehouse with
a baby magpie hot on his tails, so a temporary truce was called for a
unified feline attack force.
Here Satan and Truffles are lead by Major Minke Minx on the offensive.
Sugar taught Satan very, very well, he was calm, collected and crouching
as he inched closer.
We managed to save both birds, but it took us an hour to get the magpie
out!
Interestingly it seems to have been a great venting of tension, and I
got a few hours of happy, calm adult cats for a barbecue dinner while
Satan had a nap after all the excitement!
He has rev’ed up a little today too, he is lying on the back of the
couch I sit on, scooting along the wall biting it.
He pretends to bite me as he goes past, then turns around and scoots
back the other way, with big wild eyes looking very fierce.

Dear Anne,
Again thank you for turning my idea 'to
reflect the clear blue skies and gum trees of the Australian
landscape' - into the theme of my lovely friendly website.
Whilst designing this site Ann touched
base with me many, many times and patiently made adjustments here
and there -till I was totally satisfied and happy with her design.
And ever since when I have updates or
changes to make - I just have to email any photos - text and
details to Anne - and hey presto 'like magic' they appear.
Many people have complimented the user
friendly layout since it was developed for me. |
I think Anne's designs and ongoing
maintenance represent excellent value for money in professional
website design available.
For anyone thinking about a website I
would thoroughly recommend you check out Anne's site and contact her
with your ideas for a quote.

"We are so
delighted with Thor. He travelled home without a sound, came
swaggering out of the carry box, checked us out and his surroundings
and within a couple of hours was out of his room and bouncing around
the lounge room. He decided very quickly that we were his family.
On Saturday we had lots of visitors (who came
just to meet him) and he greeted them as if he had always been part
of our family.
It’s funny, if we are eating at the table and
we leave to go into the lounge and he is asleep on one of the chairs
. You hear a squeak when he wakes up and you have to say “We’re in
here Thor and in he stalks, settles on Pete’s lap and resumes his
nap.
He follows me every where, and when I am
playing with him he races up and down the stairs from his room along
the corridor, through the kitchen and back!
Thank you so much for our bundle of joy!"

"Bella has settled in
really well, it took Kel a little while to get used her new
friend with oodles of energy! We had some growling and hissing,
now they are best friends! They chase each other around the
house and enjoy play fighting on the lounge room floor. She is
funny at bed time and thinks it is funny to give me kisses
through the night! and pouncing on Sam's head!! She is just a
bundle of joy and constantly has us laughing with her antics. We
love her dearly and she has fitted in really well!"

Henry is such a
fun ‘little’ fella and is very affectionate. He's taken to
sometimes sleeping on my pillow above my head which means that I
wake up with funnier hair than it normally is. Henry is getting
quite chatty and loves to see us when we come in. He has wonderful
eyesight and spots a little creature from a great distance - some
tiny tiny insect, barely visible to us, which he of course loves
chasing. We're wondering how he's going to react to seeing his
first huntsman.
John and I were
only saying the other day that the best decision we've made this
year was to get ‘little’ Henry. We can't imagine what it would be
like without him. What must it be like for you with all your little
friends!?
Thanks again for
keeping in touch,
Love to all from

24/10/2008 Chicago- is doing well.
He is one very clever cat.
He & Molly play flat out morning & night, but sleep from
lunch time on. They play fight which is quite funny to
watch; Chicago just drops (more of a flop really) straight
to the floor & poor little Molly can’t reach him because he
just sticks his legs out to stop her. They run & chase each
other; it looks quite funny they will go one direction with
Molly chasing Chicago, then they come back the other
direction with Chicago chasing Molly.
He has gone through 2 toy mice & is onto his third. He will
sit in the spare room & watch the dogs as they play in the
back yard. I'm sure he 'taunts' them when they can't reach
him. He loves smooching the window with them on the other
side of it.
He still loves getting in the shower each morning once I've
finished, he sits on the mat waiting for me to get out & as
soon as I open the door he steps in as I step out. I think
that’s become a bit of a habit.”
I have some photos & video (on the camera) at home which I
must bring in & send to you. People can’t get over the size
of him & when I tell them that yours are actually larger
they are a bit gob smacked. Everyone loves his tail, it’s
the first thing they all seem to say 'look at his tail', he
then proceeds to flop & seems to say 'yeah I know, isn't it
good'. |

We have built a run for them onto the side of the house, as
I did not want to confine them just to indoors, but wanted
them to be able to go out, but be safe from other cats & for
the wildlife to be safe from them. They access it through
the cat door & its about 2.5 metres long & is as high as the
eaves. Dad put a floor in it, so that they wouldn't come
inside with dirty wet feet. They both love it, we've put a
day bed & scratching pole out there for them & we are
looking at building some steps up the wall & putting a
couple of hammocks in there for them, once I can figure out
how. . When they are playing Chicago goes through the cat
door like a bull at a gate, all you hear is this bang,
thump, thump & you know they are running around

I'm
starting to discover the perils of having a big cat. Namely
that if he falls asleep on my arm, my arm goes to sleep as
well. Oh, well.
Here is a
photo a photo of him with his friend. |
1/9/2008- Chicago is such a wonderful boy, I think he is an old sole in
a young body; nothing really worries him, only if he doesn't get enough
bickies left for him!
Molly
has settled down with him & they play flat out together, sometimes they
get a bit rough; but they soon sort their selves out. Usually Chicago
just rolls over & gives into her, I think its easier.
Regards Kathy

I thought you might
like to see some photos of “little” Jamieson. He has settled in really
well and has made ‘best friends’ with our other cat Abby.
He is absolutely
adorable and has the most lovely personality

Just a
quick note, Pascal's going wonderfully, you were right about
him being a water-baby, he will jump into the bath with me,
he has no fear of water, he's absolutely fascinated by it
and loves to splash his paws. I've been staying down at the
shack with him for the last week, and letting him out
supervised for a while each day, we're right on the water,
he was intrigued by the water and waded straight in!
He's very
good in the car and has no issues about travelling in a cat
carrier. He's the smartest cat I've ever known, he's
becoming a master at fetch, we can play for hours. His
favourite toy is still his little white mouse (which is
becoming quite grey by now), closely followed by bottle tops
which he can keep himself fascinated with for hours on end,
despite any fancy toys I buy him. He loves to wrap himself
around your shoulders, purring contentedly.
He's quite
big already, he's already outgrown Mia my parents cat, I
took him around for a visit the other day, Pascal is so
trusting, wanted to make friends but Mia was having none of
it and went and hid under the bed. He's quite fearless and
loves to explore new places, when any other cat would be
wary and put out. |
He loves his brush and
gets a grooming every day when I finish work, it's our special bonding
time, he likes to help and will wash himself at the same time, he's
gorgeous to watch, if you show him his tail he will wrap his paws around
it and start grooming, and will roll over for you to brush both sides
for him. Until he starts becoming playful which usually means it's time
for a game of fetch.
Cheers, Erica & Pascal
